OK, this is an old post and I am late to the party. Subject matter is not covered anywhere.

I have had a computer of some kind in the house since 1984. I have learned nothing. I still can't see the same page that others see. What cues others instantly passes me by. I don't know the first thing about how to identify what is important or what is active. I can't even spend money on line. Or give money away.

Many tutors. All of them told they keep their hands off the keyboard card or they don't get paid. All grab the keyboard within five minutes and most scream at me.

I could watch a magician do card tricks all day long and not learn card tricks. If the magician slowly and patiently attempts to teach me just one trick -- if he speaks to me as if I am also a magician it does not work. If he assumes I have a repertoire of card manipulations and sleight of hand maneoevres at my disposal it won't work. That is what computer lessons are like. The teacher or tutor always assumes I know many things I just do not know.

I do not know what "everybody knows".

Can anyone teach me? Is it possible?
